While reading for Gender Studies today, I learned that the negative stereotypes directed towards Mexican-Americans have not always been that of a gangbanger, criminal, or dirty immigrant. The English language continues to confound me.
I’ve recently tried out Chatroulette, and the implications of race couldn’t have been more clear; ignoring the dicks, a vast majority of users were white and would say things such as:
